Two new ministries are in the developmental stage at Celebration Baptist Church. Those ministries are an AWANA Clubs Ministry and Small Group Ministry.

Each week, more than 1.5 million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana. Over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and nearly 13,000 internationally run Awana programs that change young lives through biblical truth. As a ministry leader for over 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!

The AWANA Club Ministry Leadership Team is diligently developing a plan to launch the ministry on September 5, 2012. The final plan must be reviewed by the church body in July before full implementation occurs.

Another ministry under development is a Small Group ministry. A recent assessment of the overall ministry of Celebration Baptist Church revealed a need for a stronger groups ministry/discipleship ministry. In response, a small group ministry will launch on Sunday, September 9. Group will gather in homes, and other venues, for Bible Study, Fellowship, Prayer, and Service. While Sunday evening will be the primary meeting time, groups are welcomed to meet any time during the week. The Small Group ministry will follow the 12-8-12 plan, allowing opportunity for new participants to join a group easily and quickly.
